HARRISBURG – This month’s ‘Conversation with Senator Gene Yaw’ highlights Rusty Rail Brewing Company, a newly-opened, family-owned business located at 5 North Eighth Street, Suite 1, Mifflinburg, Union County.
Rusty Rail Brewing Company specializes in quality craft beers, with a full service brew pub and restaurant featuring an eclectic mix of scratch-made, American bistro pub fare and inspired entrees from their Executive Chef. The historic locale, housed in a century old manufacturing facility, also features an on-site brewery, game room and events facility.
“What started as a hobby has become a vocation for brothers, Paul and Eric John,” said Sen. Gene Yaw. “I couldn’t be more excited to see the energy and enthusiasm that the Rusty Rail team will bring to the community. It’s certainly an exciting venture for them. I commend them on their passion and entrepreneurial spirit to make their dream become a reality.”
“We’ve been in this community for 47 years, and we’ve been blessed with such a great workforce,” said Paul John, Owner of Rusty Rail Brewing Company. “It’s a wonderful little town that we live in and we wanted to do something for our workers and for the community. As of today, we have 90 employees with this new venture and that’s really what motivates us and the fact that a lot of our people get to do things they’re passionate about.”
