HARRISBURG – This month, “A Conversation with Senator Gene Yaw (R-23)” tours Cummings Lumber Company Inc., a fourth generation family-owned business producing the highest quality hardwoods in the northern tier of Pennsylvania.
Located in Troy, Bradford County, Cummings Lumber Co. was founded in 1929 by Lee William Cummings. Roy W. Cummings, Sr. joined his father in 1942, Roy W. Cummings Jr. joined his father in 1968 and both continued to expand the business. Today, Scott Cummings, the founder’s great grandson, directs the company. Cummings Lumber Co. harvests and processes Pennsylvania hardwoods, specializing in Hard Maple, Cherry, Soft Maple, Red Oak, White Oak and Ash.
