Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee to Hold Philadelphia Hearing on Urban Modernization

(HARRISBURG) -- The Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee will hold a public hearing in Philadelphia next week to listen to testimony on the importance of modernization in urban centers across the Commonwealth, according to Chairman Senator Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming).

The hearing will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, at CORA Services in Philadelphia, located at 8540 Verree Road.

Among those scheduled to testify at the hearing are representatives of the Energy Coordinating Agency of Philadelphia, The Wharton School, PECO, the Philadelphia YouthBuild Charter School, the Delaware Valley Regional  Planning Commission and the Asociacion Puertorriquenos en Marcha, Inc. (APM).

Because of time constraints, there will not be an opportunity for a public comment period.  However, written testimony will be accepted by the committee.  The public can also submit comments at www.senatorgeneyaw.com following the hearing.
