1-800-443-5772 or 570-322-6457 Environmental Education Grants Announced by DEP
Senator Gene Yaw, R-Lycoming, has learned that three Environmental
Educational Grants have been made recently by the Department of Environmental
Protection (DEP).
Yaw said these awards include:
- $2,800 to the Lycoming County Conservation District. The funds
will be used to coordinate wetland workshops for elementary and secondary level
teachers;
- $6,426 to the East Lycoming School District to implement an
environmental education course with a focus on sustainable energy sources and
technologies and;
- $3,750 to the SEDA-COG to be used to enable the Energy Resource
Center to coordinate educational seminars as part of its Building Green and
Energizing Our Region Seminar series.
The 23rd District lawmaker said if constituents would like to learn more
