Yaw Urges Students to Take Part in PLCB Poster Contest

(HARRISBURG)  The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is once again sponsoring its 18th Annual Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest, according to Sen. Eugene Yaw (R-Loyalsock), who urged students in his district to enter.

The contest is open to all Pennsylvania students in kindergarten through 12th grade, including those who are home-schooled.

“I believe this Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest is a valuable educational tool that can provide students with an opportunity to learn about the dangers of underage drinking and identify healthy, fun, and alcohol-free activities to take part in,” Yaw said.

According to the PLCB, approximately 50 outstanding entries will be chosen by a panel of judges and those chosen will be recognized at a ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda in April 2010. All submissions must be received by the PLCB no later than November 20, 2009.
