Senator Yaw and Representative Everett to Host Senior Expo

This Tuesday, September 14th, Senator Gene Yaw and Representative Garth Everett will be hosting a Senior Expo at the Lycoming Mall.  The Expo will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Bon Ton and Sears wings and in the Center Court area.

“I am very proud of this event as we bring together merchants, government officials, non-profits, service organizations and various other concerned groups as a kind of ‘one-stop shopping’ for our constituents,” Yaw said.  “The focus of the expo is the health and welfare of our area senior citizens.”

There will be numerous screenings such as blood sugar, vision, stress, dental and many more.  Another goal of the Senior Expo is to help older Pennsylvanians familiarize themselves with the multitude of businesses and programs available to them and how to navigate through the ever-changing and increasingly confusing world of elder care and estate planning.

It is important to remember that River Valley Transit has a regular bus route available to and from the mall.
