Sen. Yaw’s TV Report: Yaw Visits T.A. Seeds, Lycoming County

HARRISBURG – This month’s ‘Conversation with Senator Gene Yaw’ focuses on the award winning T.A. Seeds, a third generation family-owned Jersey Shore based agribusiness specializing in producing seed corn hybrids and soy bean seed.

T.A. Seeds has 24 full time employees and farms over 700 acres in Lycoming County using ‘no-till’ farming for production. No-till farming is a process of growing crops from year to year without disturbing the soil through tillage.

“The goal here is that people learn what’s going on and appreciate the efforts that farming is making, not only in food production, but also to solve some of our environmental problems,” Yaw said. “T.A. Seeds is a worldwide leader in seed production using no-till,” Yaw added.
