Sen. Yaw Appointed to LCHIC Board of Directors

HARRISBURG – The Lycoming County Health Improvement Coalition (LCHIC) has appointed State Senator Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming) to its 40-member Board of Directors.

LCHIC is a voluntary collaboration of board members and Task Force Team volunteers representing various community and governmental sectors working to improve the overall health of the Lycoming County area by identifying and facilitating response to priority health and wellness issues.

“I am pleased to be a part of this collaborative effort to address some of our areas most pressing health-related issues,” Yaw said. “LCHIC is essential to charting a course for improving the overall health conditions in Lycoming County and surrounding areas.”

Organized in 1994, LCHIC is a Communities That Care (CTC) Site, involved in advancing the CTC process among its Board and other community representatives. LCHIC is also a recognized State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) Partner with the PA Department of Health.
