What: State Senator Gene Yaw and distinguished guests will honor the late Carl E. Stotz, Founder, Little League Baseball, in a ceremony dedicating the Market Street Bridge (U.S. Route 15 connecting Williamsport to South Williamsport) as the new “Carl E. Stotz Memorial Little League Bridge.”
When: Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10AM
Where: The ceremony will take place on the South Williamsport side of the bridge in the parking lot of the Seven Day Adventist Church.
Background: The legislation, Senate Bill 723 (Yaw), renaming the Market Street Bridge the Carl E. Stotz Memorial Little League Bridge was approved by Governor Corbett on July 7, 2011 and became Act 69.
