CFA Approves Funding for Williamsport Project

HARRISBURG – State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) today announced that PMF Industries, Inc., a Williamsport based precision metal forming manufacturing company, will receive funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Alternative and Clean Energy Program (ACE).

As part of the current round of loan and grant initiatives, PMF Industries will receive a $250,000 grant to expand their precision metal forming manufacturing facility to allow for the manufacturing of compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders. Funds will be used for the purchase of new equipment. PMF Industries identified an increased demand for CNG cylinders for several business sectors. In order to accommodate the new manufacturing process, PMF Industries will construct a 12,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and warehouse addition to their current 110,000 sq. ft. building. The proposed project will create 25 jobs within three years.

“PMF serves a number of industries including environment, aerospace, food processing, military and pharmaceutical, just to name a few,” Yaw said. “They have dedicated employees committed to a quality product and this funding will assist them to expand into a new sector. I am pleased the CFA authorized this grant funding.”

The ACE Program provides financial assistance in the form of grant and loan funds that will be used by eligible applicants for the utilization, development and construction of alternative and clean energy projects in the state. The program is administered jointly by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), under the direction of the CFA.
