Senate Confirms Van Blarcom to Milk Marketing Board Post

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Senate today unanimously confirmed the nomination of James A. Van Blarcom to serve as a member of the state’s Milk Marketing Board (MMB), according to Senator Gene Yaw (R-23).

Van Blarcom, a self-employed Bradford County dairy farmer, owns and operates a 500 head dairy herd with his family in Columbia Cross Roads.

“Today, I was pleased to support the nomination of Jim Van Blarcom to the Milk Marketing Board,” Yaw said.   I could not think of a more experienced individual to fill this post.  Jim understands the complexities facing our agriculture and dairy industries and has already begun to address them.  He is an active and engaged individual who is more than qualified to serve on the Board.  I wish him well in his new post.”

Van Blarcom replaces Richard Kriebel, a Columbia County dairy farmer and former board chairman.
