HARRISBURG – State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) and State Representative Garth Everett (R-84) today reminded local seniors to attend their annual ‘Senior Expo’ this Tuesday, September 9th in Pennsdale, Lycoming County.
Beginning at 9:30AM, more than 60 exhibitors will be providing the most current information on state programs and services available to Pennsylvania’s older residents.
The free informational event will be held from 9:30AM to 1PM at the Pennsdale Civic Center, 261 Village Road, Pennsdale.
According to the legislators, the event will provide seniors with a “one-stop resource” for information on a wide range of services available to them – many of which are free of charge or at a reduced cost. In addition, representatives from state agencies will be on hand to discuss a number of government-related programs.
Other booths will be set up to provide seniors with information on health screenings, transportation and recreation opportunities, insurance, wills and estate planning, senior housing options, hunting and fishing and many other programs.
