Sen. Yaw, Rep. Keller to Host ‘Breakfast Meeting on Agriculture’

HARRISBURG — State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) and Representative Fred Keller (R-85) will host their annual “Breakfast Meeting on Agriculture” with members of the agriculture and agribusiness communities across Lycoming, Union and Snyder counties.

The discussion will be held on Friday, September 14th, from 8AM – 9:30AM at the Country Cupboard Restaurant, 101 Hafer Road, Lewisburg.

The featured speaker for the event will be the Honorable Patrick McDonnell, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

Prior to being named Secretary in 2017, McDonnell served as DEP’s director of policy. In addition, he ran the State Energy Office, and was charged with coordination of renewable energy and energy efficiency issues.  At its 25th Anniversary Fall Meeting in 2018, the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) elected McDonnell as Secretary-Treasurer.

“This annual breakfast meeting is designed to listen to concerns and answer questions on how to improve agricultural conditions throughout our region,” Sen. Yaw said.  “These meetings are intended to create a friendly dialogue and exchange of ideas.”
