Sen. Yaw to Host ‘Breakfast Meeting on Agriculture’

HARRISBURG — State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) will host his annual “Breakfast Meeting on Agriculture” with members of the agriculture and agribusiness communities across Bradford, Sullivan and Susquehanna counties.

The discussion will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd, 8AM – 9:30AM at the Best Western, Grand Victorian Inn, 255 Spring Street, Sayre, PA 18840.

The featured speakers for the event will be the Honorable Russell C. Redding, Secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Jayne Sebright, Executive Director of the Center for Dairy Excellence.

Governor Tom Wolf nominated Russell Redding to serve as the 26th Secretary of Agriculture for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in January 2015, and was confirmed by the Senate on May 14, 2015.  Redding is the former dean of the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Delaware Valley College.

Ms. Sebright has been with the Center since 2006 and has 20 years of experience in strategic marketing and communications, holding positions with Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association & Land O’Lakes.

Both will provide an update on the state of the agriculture industry in Pennsylvania.

“This annual breakfast meeting is designed to listen to concerns and answer questions on how to improve agricultural conditions throughout our region,” Sen. Yaw said.  “These meetings are intended to create a friendly dialogue and exchange of ideas.”
