State Grant Awarded to Improve Bradford County Airport

HARRISBURG – A $273,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will support the improvement of the Bradford County Airport, according to state Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23).

The grant is earmarked to improve and expand the existing fuel farm for aviation gasoline at the site, Yaw said.

“The airport serves as an asset to the businesses and residents of Bradford County; and local, regional and national aviation consumers,” Sen. Yaw said.  “I’m glad that the Administration approved this important funding.”

The airport was one of 26 facilities across Pennsylvania sharing $6.2 million in grants during the current round of funding from PennDOT’s Aviation Development Program and Multimodal fund.
