Senate Environmental Committee to Hold Public Hearing on MS4 Requirements

HARRISBURG – The state Senate Environmental Resources & Energy Committee will discuss Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) requirements during an upcoming public hearing in Franklin County, according to Committee Chairs Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) and Senator John Yudichak (D-14).

The hearing will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 beginning at 1PM at the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Road East, Chambersburg, PA  17202.

Committee members will receive an overview of the MS4 program and hear from local municipalities who are seeking to comply with federal stormwater regulations.

Those expected to offer testimony during the hearing include Joe Adams, Deputy Secretary for Field Operations, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection; Melissa Batula, Director for the Bureau of Project Delivery, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; officials from the Borough of Greencastle; Antrim Township; Antis Township, Blair County; the Blair County Conservation District, and local residents.
