Earlier today, Rep. Clint Owlett and I were pleased to announce a $957,846 state investment allocated to Westfield Borough, Tioga County through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) for the replacement of its Church Street sewer pipe.

This project will improve the reliability and performance of the sanitary sewer system, prevent future sinkholes due to current structural deficiencies, and reduce operational and maintenance costs at the wastewater treatment plant.

On the Road…

Photo Credit: Pennsylvania College of Technology

I had the pleasure of joining Sen. Nick Miller and Christine M. Martin, president of PPL Electric Utilities for a tour of Pennsylvania College of Technology (PCT) where I serve as chairman of the Board of Directors.

We visited the construction, electrical, machining, welding, collision repair and automated manufacturing labs and learned about the Clean Energy Center, architecture and sustainable design majors, and the upcoming Baja SAE international competition.

Thank you to President Reed for another great visit!

I had a great afternoon with Students from Wellsboro High School at their Student Government Day. We had a great discussion on state government and the legislative and political processes. These students certainly have a bright future ahead of them!
