The new $100 million building will create the infrastructure needed to support the advanced life-saving and rehabilitation services necessary to provide full trauma services by 2020.
October 11, 2018 - Senator Yaw joined Williamsport Area School District students, teachers and administration to formally announce the district's participation in implementing the National Math and Science Institute's (NMSI) College Readiness Program through a $1.2 million state grant.
Funded over a three-year period, the program will work to ensure “more students have access to the challenging classes that will prepare them for future success.” Further, “the three-year program dramatically increases the number of students taking and earning qualifying scores on Advanced Placement (AP) math, science and English exams and has a proven track record of improving results for traditionally underserved and female students.”

October 9, 2018 - Senator Yaw joins with the Animal Care Sanctuary in East Smithfield, Bradford County, to break ground on their new clinic and kennel. ACS’ 18,000 constituents, adopters, donors, and volunteers, come from throughout the United States. ACS has a dedicated board of directors, who are donors and active volunteers, a 28 member professional staff including three licensed veterinarians and 210 volunteers. ACS is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and accredited by the American Sanctuary Association.
