Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee to Hold Hearing on Community Revitalization in Times of Budget Stress

The Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee will hold a hearing to listen to testimony on community revitalization in times of budget stress, according to committee Chairman Senator Gene Yaw and Vice-Chairman Senator Dave Argall.

The hearing will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14th, in Pottsville City Hall, Pottsville, PA.

Among those scheduled to testify at the hearing are representatives of the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity, Upper Schuylkill, Schuylkill Community Action, Mahanoy City Borough, Tamaqua Downtown, and Schuylkill County Demolition Program.

Because of time constraints, there will not be an opportunity for a public comment period. However, written testimony will be accepted by the committee.  The public can also submit comments at senatorgeneyaw.com following the hearing.
