Senator Yaw, Representative Everett Host Senior Expo Today

HARRISBURG – More than 80 exhibitors will be providing the most current information on programs and services available to Pennsylvania’s older residents at a Senior Expo today hosted by Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) and Representative Garth Everett (R-84).

The free informational event is being held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lycoming Mall, 300 Lycoming Mall Circle, Pennsdale.

Yaw said today’s event will provide seniors with a “one-stop resource” for information on a wide range of services available to them – many of which are free of charge or at a reduced cost. In addition, representatives from state agencies will be on hand to discuss a number of government-related programs. A representative from Yaw’s office will also be on hand to specifically answer flood-related questions.

Other booths will be set up to provide seniors with information on health screenings, transportation and recreation opportunities, insurance, wills and estate planning, senior housing options, hunting and fishing and many other programs.

“The senior expo will offer senior citizens a chance to learn so much about the services and programs that are available to them,” Yaw said. “Representative Everett and I urge all area seniors to stop by.”
