Senate Law and Justice Committee & House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Corrections Set Hearing for June 7th

HARRISBURG – The State Senate Law and Justice Committee & State House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Corrections will hold a public hearing to discuss the current Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) complement throughout Northeastern and central Pennsylvania, according to State Senator Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming).

The hearing, scheduled for Thursday, June 7th at 1PM, will be held in the Mountain Laurel Room, Professional Development Center Building on the Pennsylvania College of Technology Campus, 1 College Avenue Williamsport, PA 17701.

The hearing will include testimony from law enforcement officials and a question-and-answer session with Committee members to discuss the impact of moving the PSP Aviation Unit IV from the Williamsport Regional Airport to the Hazleton Municipal Airport. In addition, there will also be testimony provided regarding the PSP’s complement throughout the Northern Tier.

Because of time constraints, there will not be an opportunity for a public comment period.
