Sen. Yaw’s TV Report: Touring the North Shore Railroad

HARRISBURG – This month’s ‘Conversation with Senator Gene Yaw’ focuses on the North Shore Railroad and highlights the importance of the rail industry in central Pennsylvania.

“Pennsylvania has seen a rebirth in its rail industry, reducing congestion and pollution, and responding to the demand of new and expanded businesses throughout the state,” Yaw said.  “The North Shore Railroad is a fine example of six short lines that serve the people and businesses of central Pennsylvania.  I had the opportunity to travel along the NSHR system, and the amount of business development and continued business opportunities for the region was clearly evident.  Rail service is a critical link for the state’s manufacturing sector and I am proud to represent an important piece of that invaluable transportation network.”
