Sen. Yaw to Hold Tele-Town Hall Wednesday

HARRISBURG – State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) is inviting residents living in Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan, Susquehanna and Union counties to join his afternoon telephone town hall event tomorrow, Wednesday, February 24th, from 1PM to 2PM, to discuss Governor Tom Wolf’s most recent budget proposal, as well as other important state issues.

The tele-town hall format allows community residents to participate in a discussion on the issues without the need to travel throughout the region.  Participants may ask questions or simply remain on the line to listen to the discussion.  Residents can sign up for the event in advance by visiting Sen. Yaw’s website at www.senatorgeneyaw.com.

The event will also feature a live audio stream page that allows smartphone, tablet and computer users to listen in and submit questions for the Senator online. A link to the live audio stream will be available on the Senator’s website immediately prior to the event.

“Typically, we’ve held these town halls in the evening when it is most convenient for many to attend; however, there are individuals that are unable to attend evening events and have asked me to hold them during the daytime, as well” Yaw said.  “I look forward to hearing from area residents and having a constructive conversation on the issues that matter most.”
