Senator Yaw, Environmental Committee to Tour Clarion County Recycling Facility on Wednesday

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee will visit a major in-state recycler of high density polyethylene (HDPE) materials on Wednesday, according to state Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23), Chairman of the Committee.

Located in Clarion County, Green Line Polymers is able to process very large quantities of HDPE plastic scrap allowing it to be recycled directly into piping and other environmentally-friendly products rather than a landfill.  Green Line Polymers is a subsidiary of Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS), the largest consumer of recycled HDPE in the United States.  ADS makes thermoplastic piping for commercial, residential, infrastructure and agricultural applications, with a focus on stormwater management.

The tour will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 – 10AM to 12PM, 22793 Rt. 66 N, Shippenville, PA 16254.
