HARRISBURG – Two Pennsylvania cabinet secretaries will be the featured speakers at this week’s “Breakfast Meetings on Agriculture” hosted by State Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23).
The first will be held tomorrow, October 11th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Troy Sale Barn, 50 Ballard Street, Troy, PA and will feature Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Richard Negrin. Negrin was nominated by Governor Josh Shapiro to oversee the department and was confirmed by the state Senate on June 27, 2023.
The second will be held on Friday, October 13th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Silver Moon Banquet Hall, 137 Silver Moon Lane, Lewisburg, PA and will feature Secretary Negrin, as well as Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. Redding was first nominated by former Governor Ed Rendell to head the department. He was most recently re-confirmed on May 10, 2023.
Both secretaries will provide an update on the state of the agriculture industry in Pennsylvania to members of the agriculture and agribusiness communities across Bradford, Sullivan, Lycoming, and Union Counties.
“These annual breakfast meetings are designed to listen to concerns and answer questions on how to improve agricultural conditions throughout our region,” Sen. Yaw said. “They are intended to create a friendly dialogue and exchange of ideas. Secretary Negrin and Secretary Redding and their respective departments are important contributors to those conversations, and I’m pleased to have them joining us.”
RSVP required. Media outlets planning to cover the event should notify Elizabeth Vollman in Sen. Yaw’s Williamsport Office of their attendance.
