HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding will be the featured speaker at this week’s “Breakfast Meeting on Agriculture” hosted by State Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23) and Rep. Clint Owlett (R-68). Secretary Redding will provide an update on the state of the agriculture industry in Pennsylvania to members of the agricultural and agribusiness communities across Tioga County.

The breakfast will be held Thursday, October 19 from 10.a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Tioga County Fair Grounds – Main Building, 2258 Charleston Road, Wellsboro, PA.

“These annual breakfast meetings are designed to listen to concerns and answer questions on how to improve agricultural conditions throughout our region,” Sen. Yaw said.  “They are intended to create a friendly dialogue and exchange of ideas. Secretary Redding and his department are important contributors to those conversations, and I’m pleased to have him joining us.”

Redding was first nominated by former Governor Ed Rendell to head the department. He was most recently re-confirmed on May 10, 2023.

RSVP required. Media outlets planning to cover the event should notify Elizabeth Vollman in Sen. Yaw’s Williamsport Office of their attendance.
